Oh This Card Did Take Awhile To Make .

 I Thought I Would Make An 

Outdoorsy Style Card 

I Know My Dad Or My Bothers Would Like 

This One ..I Used  1- Sheet Of 

8.5" X 11" Cut In Have, Folded

Both Sides Back 1" & Back The 

Other Way 1/2" .For The Back

 Sheet I Stamped My Picture First & 

Colored It Put Some Glitter 

On,Next I Picked Out The Deer That 

Would Then Be My Main Front 

Page Focus ,Also The Birthday Flag (Tag).

Next I Made Sure All Things Lined Up 

Front And Back Pages ,Put Brads In 

Which I Chose Two Different Styles, 

Stars & Squares In Gold.

Put More Glitter On Front And this 

Is What I Got ..

Hard ??No 

Easy ??Yes

6-Food To Prepare a good Thanksgiving Dinner 

My List Could get Very Long

This Is One Of The Dessert Items I Made To 

Take Along To Our Friends House For 

Thanksgiving 

My Pumpkin Pie With No Pumpkin ..Smile 

Yes I Use Butternut Squash !!!

These Pie Were Extra Special As My 

Husband Rolled Out The Pie Dough And Put 

Them In The Pans ..It Made Three Pie.

Crust :

3-Cups Pastry Flour 

1-Teaspoon Salt

1-Cup Butter Crisco 

Using A Pastry Blender Mix Until Crumbly 

Add:   1/4-Cup Water

1/4-Cup Milk

1/4-Cup Canola Oil 

Mix Until Dough Ball Forms,Divide Into 

Three Balls And Roll Out Onto A Lightly Floured Surface.

Roll Out Till Crust Is Right Thickness & Put

In Pie pan ,Cut Off Any Extra Dough That's Hanging 

Over Edge Of Pan .Than Using My Thumb & Index Finger On Left 

Hand ,And My Index Finger On Right Hand I Put The Scallops Around Edge.

In Another Bowl I Put Together The Filling :

2-Tablespoon Flour (All Purpose)

2-Cup White Sugar 

1-Cup Milk 

**Mix Well**

Add:  

3-Cups Milk    

Pinch Of Salt  

4-Egg Yolk (Save Whites)

1/4-Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/4-Teaspoon Cloves

1 1/3-Cup (Pumpkin)Squash

Mix Ingredients Really Good !

Beat Egg Whites Till Very Stiff And 

Fold This Into The Above Pumpkin Mixer 

Do NOT Stir ..

We Want The egg Whites

 To Keep Texture

Pour The Filling Into The Pie Crust. 

Bake At 425 Degrees For 15 Minutes Than 

Turn Temperature Down To 350 & 

Bake Another 45 minutes ..

Let me tell you a little on how I made this one .

I basically made it like the one I 

done previously except I used a different 

color combination .very Obvious (Red & Black 

are not like Gold & Blue. hmm

Folded a piece of card stock 5.5" x 8.5"

In half ,cut from one corner to 

about the middle and go up to next corner,

1st , pick out 3-colors that will look nice together 

I have a light yellow,blue/green, & Gold .

next cut triangles to make it look 

like its folded add a layered card/note 

for the inside, then I layered the ribbon looking 

paper on the outside wrapped around back 

added my butterfly .*optional*

add ribbon or flower .

This card was requested to be blank ,NO verse,

So it's blank on the inside .

This one also blank on inside ,

This is a three fold card ,added 2-crop-a-dial

brads, burlap ribbon, and a rose ,

then I made a little tag ,stamped 

*THANKS so much *

on it Put a tiny button on end to make it 

look like it was sewn on ..

DONE...

OH ! I just love this card, had SO much fun putting it together ..

I had borrowed this stamp from a friend a few years ago . 

So all I had to do was color ,cut,and attach it to the card stock 

and add the little saying at the bottom right hand corner .

Makes one want to snuggle up with a blanket and a good  

movie or book to read .

Sip on the Cocoa with LOTS of marshmallows 

AND ......

Penguins?????

Christmas Cards

          Hi, These cards make me think of the long winter

                              days & evenings. Make me want to take time to be reading ,making                                       cards ,drinking hot cocoa , and sending a beautiful card with a little 

   note or letter to family & Friends .I like winter !

This is a 5.5 x 8.5 Card ,first I ink stamped the Mountains,

then Ink stamped the barn and colored it .

next do the ink stamping on the ribbon and add the pine tree brad

and put the window frame on the card ,which gives it the 

layered look,add the punched poinsettia at the top,and 

last of all add the glitter glue on the mountain tops 

to make it look like snow capped

This next card has the same idea as the first one except it is 

smaller ,its only 4.25" x 5.5" . I also first ink stamped the pine trees

,colored them a dark green ,ink stamped Cozy winter wishes on the 

picture window frame ,added the Poinsettia in the lower left corner

instead of at the top .added a snowflake brad and again I glitter 

glued the trees and the ground part .

Sorry I have been absent for awhile ..

        Can't say I was just sitting around doing nothing ,

      as I have been quite busy ..I will say I have my fall work 

  done on outside for another year .I was also making 

something ...Let me show you what 

I was doing by adding a few Card pictures .

       

This was for Dear friends of ours ,

My husband and I were treated with

loyalty ,Good food & fellowship .

Table was all neatly set with beautiful 

china, napkins & silverware ..Great hospitality!

Blank Inside 

 I was in the mood to do a quick birthday card ,

so I took a piece of card stock folded it in half 

added a rust colored strip through the middle . 

Wasn't sure what all was going to end up on this one ,

Except I knew I wanted to use the butterfly & Birthday ..

OK well,  I thought to myself ,a butterfly and flowers 

would probably go together .

Yeah ! So here is what i got .. 

   #2 Happy Birthday

So when we finally

send our thoughts, 

they may be kind of late.

But when it's someone special

someone we like a lot,

Our thoughts are always 

right on time-

its just the card that's not!

     Found these gorgeous 3 D Iris flower stickers ,

     Knew that it would make a nice accent for a card 

          of any kind .Had some music note paper and obviously my 

    birthday wishes stamp .I Layered the window

      looking frame over the music sheet  

      added a little butterfly brad & my Iris sticker ....

Done!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

                                          What a beautiful Autumn day!

                                      Was fun working in the kitchen doing what i enjoy .     
                                                          Cooking & Baking Yummy's      

                        Made these yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter bars With Rice Crispy's                             

     All you need is a Bowl ,Serving Spoon , Teaspoon , I of course

       need a Scraper to make sure i get all the last drops of goodies out

                 of the bowl & into my Sheet Cake pan .  Just a few simple  ingredients 
         to make it .White Sugar , All Purpose Flour , Cocoa ,Baking Soda ,

           Baking Powder , Salt , Eggs ,Hot Water , Canola Oil.  Bake at 3:50 

degrees for 40 to 45 Minutes .

   I Use a tooth pick to test the cake to see if its done ,if the
 toothpick comes out clean you know its done ,top with a 
bag of mini marshmallows

      only one layer over the whole cake .Let cool completely . 

 Melt butter and semi sweet chocolate chips stir in the 

 peanut butter ,Once all mixed together evenly and smooth ,

  add rice crispy's cereal ,spread over the marshmallow layer .

Best part of all !!!!
